GeneralSports Venue™ is also conducting comprehensive biomechanical testing program at Michigan State University (MSU). These are the first and only tests measuring data specifically relevant to American football.
Twelve separate synthetic turf systems make up the MSU practice field where biomechanical tests record real time data for heat and durability, helping to establish new standards in temperature management. Small sensors that measure varying temperatures of each system at specific times of the day are embedded into the infill materials. In addition, athletes’ shoes are outfitted with foot beds containing sensors that collect pressure point information and vertical explosion data.
