1972

Notre Dame, North Carolina, Navy and Dartmouth add AstroTurf synthetic surfaces.

1974

Miami Dolphins play Minnesota Vikings on AstroTurf in Super Bow VIII – Rice Stadium, Houston, TX.

1975

First international field hockey game played on AstroTurf at Molson Stadium, Montreal.AstroTurf installed at New Orleans Superdome and Detroit Silverdome. Cincinnati Reds win World Series on AstroTurf.

1981

Oakland Raiders play Philadelphia Eagles on AstroTurf in Super Bowl XV – Superdome, New Orleans, LA. Harvard University installs the first Magic Carpet® system.

1983

Women's World Cup Hockey games are played on AstroTurf. AstroTurf installs first North American vertical drainage systems in Paterson, NJ at Trenton State.

1989

First E-Layer® system (Elastomeric) installed at William and Mary, as well as University of California, Berkeley.

1996

Atlanta Olympic Field Hockey installs AstroTurf System 96.

1999

First Premier League-caliber European soccer club, Real Madrid C. F. (Spain) purchases AstroTurf System

2000

AstroTurf selected by major European clubs, including Manchester United (UK); Valladolid (Spain); Schalke 04 and SSV Ulm (Germany); and Nancy Lorraine (France).

2003

Buffalo Bills install AstroTurf infilled system in Ralph Wilson Stadium. Ole Miss also installs AstroTurf in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium
