Douglas L. Whitmer, Senior Vice President
Douglas L. Whitmer has spent his entire 19 year career in the sales and marketing arena. Before joining Venue Solutions by General Sports, Doug served as Vice President of Sales for the Global Accounts Division of Eaton Corporation, a diversified industrial services company. In this role with the Fortune 500 company, he oversaw all Eaton business activity with selected global customers like HP, IBM, Avaya, and Siemens. Prior to this assignment, Doug served as the IBM and Lucent Global Account Executive for the Eaton Power systems division in Phoenix, AZ. San Diego, CA. and Raleigh, North Carolina.
Earlier in Mr. Whitmer’s career, he held various sales, sales management, and rep management positions with Liebert Corporation and Oneac Corporation. Doug has also owned and operated an Independent Rep organization in Phoenix Arizona serving the data center power and cooling markets.
Mr. Whitmer holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Keenan-Flagler School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from The Ohio State University. He is also a 3-time Varsity Letterman recipient from The Ohio State University for participation in football. He currently resides in the Raleigh NC area with his wife and 2 children.
