The new surface is an AstroTurf® 12 system. The field was engineered with a proven, premium knitted nylon fiber designed to provide uniform traction and consistent footing.

After six straight appearances in the NCAA Championships and four trips to the Final Four in the last six seasons, the Duke field hockey team is ready to break through the glass ceiling and earn the program’s first national championship.

Head coach Beth Bozman enters her seventh season at the helm of the Blue Devils, coming off a memorable year in which she won her 300th career game and was inducted into the NFHCA Hall of Fame after the season in a ceremony in Philadelphia.

Home to the Holy Cross field hockey and outdoor track teams, the Hart Turf Field and Hart Track are the highest volume playing surfaces on campus.

The Holy Cross field hockey team opened up at home against Harvard at the brand new Hart Turf Field on September 2, 2011 under the direction of second season Head Coach Zowie Tucker.
